I had my first senior shoot this past weekend and these are the first shots I've processed. Let me know what you think.

Beautiful! The first one is too closeup for my liking, but the 2nd one is great! I think she'll like the vignetting, too. Nice job! :)

I like them both. What lens did you use for these?

Great shots. Very nice lighting. You have done well bringing out her beautiful eyes. Great work.

They are the same shot right? #2 is too processed for my taste, but who cares what I think if the client likes it :)

I agree with Halliday, #2 is a tad over processed. i usually end up adding a bit of texture to the skin after blurring it so as to make it look like skin ;-)a .

Thanks for all the comments everyone.

I shot both of these with the 70-200 f4.

They are not the same shot, but same location and time. The first was shot as a closeup and the second was shot a bit wider.

I wasn't too sure about the vignette. I like the effect but I think I need to pull it back to the edges a bit more.

mkuriger, I've never used textures before, how do you add that. I don't want the skin to look fake and I've really struggled with that for some of my shots. Also, what gallery theme are you using on your site? I love it, it looks great!

My favorite would have to be the first shot. Nice pics.

Don't like the bra straps in #2.....would have smoothed the skin in #1 (nose) and the foreheads look a little blown out..........poses in #2 is nice though but I would put the arm down. But what do I know?

Don't like the bra straps in #2

Agree with Ray on this one. These kids now days have no sense of modesty and are more and more wearing underwear as outerwear; I blame the parents. Regardless, I think the pics are well lit and composed and sharp.

Not sure what can be done about the bra strap. I guess I could take the time to try to clone it out.

She has a great smile. All through the shoot she kept trying to do serious faces and could never do it, she's just a smiley person and it's wonderful.
