I dont normally shoot birds but I just got a 1.4x TC for my 70-200 and wanted to try it out. Went for a walk around the yard and found one bird that would sit still.

Thanks. I am just starting but usually do motorsports and I have a whole new respect for you bird togs. Just when I thought I had the shot I would move my foot and scare it away.

Thanks guys.

Yeah I am quite happy with it. I am looking forward to getting to the track and seeing how it tracks bikes at speed.

BTW am I calculating the focal length correctly? (for the long end) 200mm X 1.6(camera) X 1.4 (extender) = 448mm

Nice shot, and I wish I could see more, but this looks like a Bewicks Wren? You lucky dog.
