Let's call it the Pre-Brag/Brag forum. That way it can also incorporate the "Brown left the shipper," "Brown is on route," and the infamous "BROWN'S HERE!" posts.

So where would I put my thread: "Sweet, the wife said I could get a new lens! Now which one?" Technically it is bragging, and a lens question.

I'd say that still goes in the Lens section, eventho it's a completely over-asked question.

I second the idea for a Pre-Brag/Brag forum.

I really like this idea. I've never found the need to announce arrival of new gear but for those that do this would certainly clean up some of the other forums which have way too much of the "Brown is here" posts.

Of course this is up to Pekka. It might just turn into another general chat area where there are already a number of useless threads, imo.
