Another fun day out. The last shot... just lucky enough to capture the so/so shot you see below.. wrong lens...wrong camera settings. I got excited since it was in hover mode.... started shooting and didn't notice the shutter speeds. Not COOL! LOL

The robberfly was kind enough to fly up while I was sitting down shooting the sweat bee. It then snatched a fly out of the air and landed a couple of feet from me. Pretty cool to see the events unfold.

All shots were ISO 1600
I had a 36mm extension tube on the 100mm macro.

Excellent series Frank, especially that first shot, love the Bee's eyes. The Robberfly looks very similar to the ones that we had in Sydney as well. Glad you're enjoying the 5D :)

Great series again.

I'm really pushed to nominate a favourite out of these. Love the lighting on the Skipper, and if pushed, would go for this, but it's close!

I have to say they are all excellent. Thanks for sharing.
