LordV Macro Photo-Lord of the Year 2006 More info | Aug 17, 2007 01:07 | #9 A set of extension tubes (kenko, Jessops if in the UK or Pro-optic from Adorama if in the US) will sort you out. Will give you a max magnification of 2:1 at the expense of a closer focus distance and some loss of light but no IQ loss. Using Extenders will always give some some loss of IQ which may or may not be noticeable but I wouldn't go above 1.4X. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lordv/

Yes, there's a loss of IQ with the TC (use -1 EC to counteract to get a proper exposure, which does help a bit)

You also have autofocus too.
