No, not another thread about replacement OEM batteries

Actually I am wondering which one of my BP-511's is older.
I bought on 18 months ago as an extra for my G3, and I have the one that came new with my 300D this January.
Is there any way to tell which one is older? They both look about the same. I use the battery grip, so I'm not sure which one dies first.

The only unique markings are what appear to be serial #'s

One has QJP and the other has RJP7.
Would it be logical to say the QJP would have been first out on the production line?
Anyway, just wondered if anyone had any words of wisedom on this.

Does age matter?

Different battery packs will age at a different rate.

I would be more concerned about how many shots I can get out of each battery pack.

Yes, true.
But it's hard to gauge since I use the battery grip.
I may have to start using 1 battery at a time to test
