Help troubleshoot lense issue.

Sigma 17-35 2.8-4, every now and then the lense (when looking thru the viewfinder) would just get 'dark' (it can be daytime and sunny). I would usually just keep shooting and it would return to normal. But now, it's just 'dark' ALL the time. Anyone encountered this before? Help.

Aperture blades are probably stuck.

Not really. You can try pressing the DOF preview button a couple of times to try and unstick the aperture diaphram but you really should get it repaired if you want to continue using it. Sooner or later it'll start causing ERR99s.

BTW, how do you like that lens otherwise?

Thanks for the input.

I like the lense, @ 17mm f2.8 its tack sharp. Guess it's time to get that 17-40 L.
