Adaption ring ?

I have an old Minolta 7Xi for which i have a sigma 70 - 300 APO lense. is it possible to get an adaption ring which will allow me to fit it onto a digital canon (300d)?

and if so what is the difference in focal length as i understand there is a difference between digital cameras and film ones?

Short answer - don't bother. The adapter for a Minolta lens will require lenses, like a teleconverter, and it'll function as one too. So you'll have a very slow MF lens with manual metering. Assuming you get a good quality adapter.

Focal length is a property of the lens. It doesn't change when you change cameras. All that changes is how much of the image the lens passes on is caught by the sensor. What the 300D's sensor will do is crop about 40% of the image a 35 mm SLR would catch.
