Top of the morning to you all. My name is Robert, but most people call me Doc.

It is just gone 8 AM here so I am feeling like I should be doing something other than chatting online, but oh well, what would it be?

Just woke up to "Give me your heart, make it real, or just forget about it" on the radio.

Quick, name that song!

Deltroid that is truly sad and very unfair. But since you still have your little brother, maybe you could sell him now to expidite the shipping?

Since I got addicted to photography, my family's size has diminished considerably...

Good thing I still have 17 brothers and sisters... :D

How so? Just curious, my 20D is getting pretty old as well, but I haven't noticed anything funky with the images.
I'll probably get a 40D when they come out this fall and relegate the 20D to my 3rd camera.

Some of them just look...funky. It's hard to explain. It may be a problem with a particular lens, though. But I've heard that 20D's develop a problem with focus as they get older and have to be sent in for calibration. I'm going to replace the 10 and 20 with a 5 and a 30 by next fall, if at all possible. Never thought I'd buy a 5D, since my preference is sports, but I'm making more money in areas where the 5 could be beneficial.

Hey Toogy...

AC/DC and Kiss rule...

Something reminded me of these bands... ;)

yes, they do rule! I'll also admit to being addicted to 70-80's hard rock :)

I couldn't let this thread go too much further without a picture, and this reminded me of this picture :)

To be honest, I never understood the fixation of getting a 5d. I mean, sure, it's got great resolution and it's full-frame. But, I can get the same focal length on my 30D w/ IS. Case in point, 24-70 on a 5D is the same focal length as the 17-55 2.8 IS on my 30D, but on my 30D, I get the IS.
