Jeff, nice. ISO1600...pshaw, child's play! When I first got my 20D, I shot an entire ceremony at 3200...accidentally. I about pooped a cinderblock when I realized it, but they were fine.

I'm just back from todays wedding... 8 hours, plus 2 hours drive in each direction, covering for a mate who's in hospital. Bit of a long day. Got some great shots will post them in a bit.

Great to see people are actually working, Tim. 8 hours, wow. That's a long day.

8 hours is normal for me, the 2 hours drive isn't. My longest wedding so far was around 16 hours, including one hour of travel, now THAT *is* a long day!

I'm having lunch with Jim Ashew to thank him for shooting my son's wedding. So, I've got errands and a house to clean. Hopefully, I'll get on a few times today.

I just got the paper, Washington Post Magazine. The cover story is written by a male wedding photographer, following the groom for the whole deal from engagement to the wedding and reception. Very long article and he shoots with a Canon! I'll read it now and report. I think he has the 5D and 24-105 most of the article.

Just read the article. Here are some quotes:

Matt Mendelsohn is the photographer

"Each Sunday morning around 2 o'clock, as I collapse into bed after another wedding, I'm convinced that I must be part of some kind of clinical trial, with no end date in sight."

"Wedding photographers reside in a category usually reserved for car salesmen and stamp enthusiasts, a little bit of Willy Loman with a pinch of Charlie Brown."

"This is why we all love weddings so much -- decades of family history rushing to the surface, like a submarine after nine months under the ocean."

Very nice article, actually.
