Another nice dragonfly. UK brown hawkers have golden wings like these and they look magical when flying in sunshine. I remember well the day when we had sunshine. It was a Saturday.

Reagrding the sun. I blinked the other saturday, and I think I missed it...

It was Saturday 11th August and sunny all day. I drove down to Dorset and got tangled up with all the tourists on the A37 headed towards the seaside. And predictably, I got stuck behind a milk tanker coming back. Doh!
Gonna have to pay a visit to Virginia one day to see these in real life. They're something else.

Beautiful shot and stunning colour. Agree with eccles on the UK's brown hawker, my fav dragonfly and a beautiful sight when you see them flying in that thing called the sun lol.
