We took a massive number of pictures with the 10d. I'm so glad we had this camera along and that I took all my lenses. We visited Ouray CO, Moab UT (Arhes NP) Natural Bridges, Monument Valley, Mesa Verde and Red River NM.

At one point I pulled the bag out of the truck and my 100-400L fell out from about 4' directly onto the concrete. It BOUNCED twice. :( fortunatley, the lens still takes GREAT pictures and the IS still works as far as I can tell. (wew!) Just a scratch on the lens mount and the lens sun shield.

Since I was changing lenses so often, the image sensor got dirty twice (persistant specks on blue sky) I was always careful to keep dust out of the camera, but it seems this camera is VERY suseptable to dust on the image sensor:(. Fortunatley I had Eclipse cleaner/solvent, plastic knife, rubber bands and PEC pads...

Figment, I'm teasing with you. In case you haven't seen the threads, there is another forum member who had the same thing happen to him.

Have Fun,

Not wanting to steal ALL of the thunder, I was thinking he or someone else would provide the details. It happened several months ago, and he had to send it to the lens hospital (Canon Service Center) to make it right. There was quite a lot of discussion relating to it. The saga of Belmondo.

Have Fun,

Rick
