As stated in another post the weather was terrible and I had a pratt with a brolly stood to the side of me blocking all the best shots. I'd spent quite a while getting to the front and along he comes, the Red Arrows did all their cross overs right behind his held too high brolly. Here's a few shots from the day, unfortunately due to bad light they ain't too good, sorry.

If you see this pratt at an air show and he's carrying his brolly; find another spot :D

Yep that's me Alan, from the position of your shot you're not the guy I was thinking of when I asked a question in your posting. I also see you were at the right side of the pratt with the brolly to get the good shots, his brolly is right at the front of your shot of me. Every time a good shot came he stood up and screwed it up, er! he's not a relation is he ? if so I take it all back :D:D:D

., I'll watch out for him at a future show ;)

Great series considering the conditions.
Those wing walkers and Red Arrows were busy yesterday!

LOL, small world innit !, I almost come over to say hello, guessed with the kit it was someone who was well into photography, so there was a good chance it might be someone off here, ah well maybe next time. No the guy with the brolly is no relation or friend of mine, you should have taken the brolly off him and shoved it somewhere !.

Cheers

Alan

PS if you want a full res version of your piccy drop me a pm with your emaill addy and I'll send it over.

Nice shots considering the weather etc Mick :)

There's a solution to the "Prat with Umbrella" issue. It's called the "100-400L in the side of the head" ;) . Accidentally...when tracking a plane of course :D

I had the same issues, awful weather, umbrellas, people with camera phones holding them to the sky to get shots (as if ! )...

Here I was talking to every Canon photographer in Eastbourne, but didn't find anyone from the forum. Cameras galore, and surprised at HOW many have 1 series! Back home in NZ, 95% are 20D/30D, and a few 1 series. Here I was seeing 1 in 2 were 1Ds.
