Out of all them the second one is probably composed the best while being the most interesting. The third one is very nice but not much going on and alot of shiny stuff too that could be distracting I am Henry. NOT Hank. And certainly not a length of rope tied in a knot.

It's all the stuff going on that makes it so interesting to me. The sharpness of the chrome against all the color and motion is cool. 5D MIII | 24-70L | 16-35L | 24-105L IS USM | 70-200L IS USM

Its very distracting to me. Otherwise I could learn to love it. I am Henry. NOT Hank. And certainly not a length of rope tied in a knot.

Aug 20, 2007 14:55 | #6 Thanks all, I used Highpass filters to accent edges and increase the contrast in a vivid light layer, then used a color layer with highpass filter with the use of an unsharpen mask filter to get the full effect.

I like the second photo best of all. In a set of photos, I gravitate towards those with people in it - it adds a sense of scale on the size of the other objects, and shows how human interact with the environment. Thanks for sharing. Pio

A little crop, a little twist. Great post work on this. It reminds me of the tv show heros for some reason. I tried to get some shots on the London underground the other day and was stoped under the terrorism laws.

WTH is up with our world. jeeze. I understand why this is in effect, but it still doesn't make it popular or right. Man. I am Henry. NOT Hank. And certainly not a length of rope tied in a knot.

Aug 22, 2007 06:21 | #10 Thanks everyone, I like the tighter crop. I do Agree, images with subjects such as people do make for a better capture, I actually tried to add one into the escalator photo, but did not come out how I would have liked... will post after school. I actually have alot more pictures of urban subway photography and of just the city, I will post again, when I return home from school.

First one for me too, I like the activity of the train contrasting with the empty platform. Sylvester X wrote in post #3768116 I tried to get some shots on the London underground the other day and was stoped under the terrorism laws. Stopped by whom? Technically you need a permit for any photography, in practice you are just supposed to check in with the station manager for amateur photography. It is not prohibited though, they just want to know what is going on. Partly for general safety reasons and mostly, I reckon, so they can protect (make money from) their image rights. Whoever claimed it was prevented by terrorism laws was either clueless or lying. Comments, bribes, criticism, bribes, irrelevant anecdotes, and bribes always welcome.

Reminds me of BB's PP technique. I still have to say that I like the second of the initial three the best. I am Henry. NOT Hank. And certainly not a length of rope tied in a knot.
