The website has been down so just call them. Jim Sisick is the owner/manager. Kitty is who I spoke to and dealt with. I have no idea if they ship or what have you but they are a great "mom and pop" type store. I always try to give them my business but usually they are more expensive then Canoga, B&H, and Adorama. I just took a shot in the dark with the idsMkIII. I ordered it about 7 days before it came in and they called me immediately after it came in. I'll post some shots soon. My 16-35 2.8 II is coming tomorrow! This is a GOOD WEEK!!!!

Yeah, I caught that in the first hour and had the chance to order it (FINALLY!) and now I'm waiting for it to ship.. the status says it's processing, even though it's been 2 days but I guess it takes longer because I ordered it from my card ( I live in Saudi Arabia) and they said it takes a bit longer for international orders.. but I don't care as long as it arrives safely in my hands lol

dont you guys think this thread should be closed now as this was set up primarily to announce the release of the above 2 cameras that, now, are already out?

at least if this was closed, people can start proper threads relating to either of the cameras?

Now its a thread to figure out who has one in stock and at a great value just like the thread on the 1d MIII turned into. That thread allowed me to get my 1d months before it was readily available. We could start a new thread but everyone is here.

I need to dated my sig since I still don't have the 1ds! Beach said they filled there list and I could be first but I need to check with my local shop that said they would get one in this week, yet I still haven't got the call.

No, b/c I still have not got mine!

Word on the street is that Japan has very few 1Ds MKIII's, the source is pretty reliable and he is saying that there have been less 100 units for the whole of Japan, actualy it could be closer to 50 units. I do know the second batch that was released had only about 10 units, so I don't think I will be seeing mine any time soon and everyone I have talked to is in the same boat.

I'm one of the lucky ones then,Hunts shipped mine out on Thursday. I'm hopeful it will be in my hands by Tuesday.

I broke down and prepaid at Beach instead of trying to catch B&H. He promised me I would have it within 10 days or less. We''ll see. He said they have been getting regular shippments every so often.

I did the same. Beach did come through and shipped it really fast. I would have preferred the save the money from shipping to buy from B&H but I have been happy using mine over calling B&H every day.

That seems absurd and ironic that no units are available for the country of origin. I wonder if they really underestimated demand...
Mine finally showed up from Canoga Camera on 12/29. Iam very pleased with it as Iam sure you will be when yours arrives.

Had the chance to order from B&H.. and what a service, they're great and FedEx has been as well..
It took the camera 6 days to arrive (3 days processing and 3 days for the actual shipping which is good considering it was an international shipment all the way from the US to Saudi Arabia) and I can't wait to test this beast
