Hehe, Girls are weird Critters, although i would prefer scruff anyday...

Athena, that is a fantastic shot. I had a quick look at the series - very good and very creative, just as I knew it would be from you!

I'm just a beginner (just got my camera, lens, and flash a couple days ago) but here are a couple attempts of mine (by the way these are not cropped or edited at all, they are just imported from adobe raw and exported to jpg).

Thanks.. I wasn't really trying for anything.. just playing with the new toys (taking pictures of crap around my house just doesn't do it for me i guess ).

I'm not so comfortable being in front of the camera so there's that too.

Well, You don't look too uncomfortable to me! You look a little like my friend Ste, although hes from Mexico and not LA

Not a self portrait, because I just cannot take my own picture, but this is me, taken by my dad. Later he claimed his p&s took better pictures than my xti, and I quickly ageed. *I* was in his pictures...........

That's my husband a.k.a. camera bag caddy, behind me....
