^^I like this one better, you look much more relaxed, and much more comfy. The b&w really adds umph to it as well, Very nicely done.

Jeff

Thanks :) I think I may like this one better too.

Great shot Athena ;)

I've always wondered....how do you get yourself so sharp? Do you have a shutter release remote? Or do you prefocus, timer, run to sit and repeat if not in focus?

Thank you :) I get the focus right first. I wanted these to be as close to candid as a self portrait can be, so I set the camera to timer and sat in the chair with the remote release and read the book. I'd press the remote and just carry on, it took the picture in it's time of whatever I was doing then. Not as candid as someone else doing it, but more so than if I had the camera off timer. ;)

Why do you need a wide angle before you contribute?

You look so much like Jeremy Piven. I'm sure you've heard that before, but I had to say it.

That's funny. First time I ever heard that.

Ah...threw me for a loop . Timer and remote...never thought of doing that. First, I need a remote
Don't forget to stop by sometime ;)

Since my fiance doesn't want to pose for me when I try new things, I had to do some self portraits, boy does that put a damper on the learning parade.

This is my first attempt at strobing/off camera flash.
Please be kind :P

Rene

I'm in the same boat. My girlfriend refuses to stand in front on the camera for me but will for almost anyone else. Every time I want to try something out it has to be a self portrait.
