Selective color is one of my favorite techniques and easy to do. I think the selection though should be the focal point, we don't want to see the cube, we want to see you.;-)a

This is a very quick and rough job, but I think it is an improvement for sure. The shadow to the right of your head is extremely distracting. Cloned it out on a separate layer and reduced opacity to reduce the harshness.
