A little too dark on the left side of your face. If you are going to keep that side as dark as you have it, you should remove the catch-light speck; it looks odd, and is distracting.

I like this version better than the other one too. Although something in the middle would work as well I think.

me again, finally got my flash off the camera. its goofy but I was just doin a test shoot to play with with the flash.

Wow, these are great. They're very very sharp. I love the first one. Its razor sharp and I love the bleached look you've got going on there. What shot that?

Canon 30D using my Sigma 17-70 using a self-portrait timer.
Edited in Lightroom and then passed through Photoshop for a bit more controlled edit on my levels and curves.
I actually didn't sharpen those at all. Occasionally I'll use a high-pass layer to sharpen, though.

Okay, I'll play. When I have more time I'll try to be more creative... but this is all I got for now! ...and just to add some of the images posted in this thread are really amazing. I've only made it halfway through so I'm sure there's more to be wow'ed by.
