Who's interested? ![]() http://www.usa.canon.com …ease/20070820_1dsmk3.html It just seems ridiculously expensive to me. I can't justify that cost at all. If I were a paid landscape pro then maybe, but sheesh that's steep... Mike

Keep in mind that this is the MSRP and that most retailers will sell it for less. Most people don't realize that the MSRP for the 70-200 f/2.8L IS is like $2899.99 for example, and who honestly pays that? ~Spaceships Don't Come Equipped With Rear View Mirrors~

Blad lenses are a bit more than Canon lenses so I guess is all relative.

AeroSmith Goldmember More info | I'll be sticking with my 14L mark I. It does what I need it to do on those rare occasions I need it. Though actually, now that we're renovating a house, its use has not been all that rare as of late. Josh Smith

Currently there's a $100 rebate to knock that down to $999. This is an excellent lens! I bought one back in 1999 and it's given superior service during that time. Sure, you lose a little on the 1.6 body, but since I'm eventually going to go full-frame I'm keeping it. John
