Thanks.
Doesn't do a lot for it at all- the aphid is dead- that's the cocoon of an Ichneumon wasp so I've been told (I thought it was a fungus fruiting body).

It sorta reminds me of an upside down A.W.A.C.S. Pod :lol: for those that don't know Airborne Warning and Control System.

great shot i need to get some of the aphid "mummies" ive seen lately. just a wide hole in one side of them wish i could catch one emerging from the aphid.

You must mean like this. Never did catch one emerging, but did get the ichneumon injecting aphids.

That's pretty wild Brian! I knew that there are a lot of insects that feed on aphids, but didn't know that a wasp would use one to feed larva :cool:
