I was at VIR this weekend and worked both my MK III's out very heavily, little over 2000 pics for the weekend.

More to come i just edited these on my crappy work laptop because I am bored. Will get more online tonight.

These were taken with a MKIII and a 500 F4 lens:

1/125

I know the 1/125 is a tad blurry, but I liked it looking imperfect and am actually happy shooting the mk3 with a 500 and tracking at 1/125th on a bike moving about 130mph at that point.

The bottom picture i set the lens at that point and was tryingt o catch a blur of spies going by. It was tough.

Excellect shots.
Although the 1/125th shot has a slight blur to it, it still gets my attention because it looks like he is really haulin a** thru that turn conpared to the 1/160th shots.
The 1/160th shots are spot on to me.
The 1/250 shot has just enough dof to keep that other photographer from cramping your shot.
I know the last shot you were just messing around, but just in my opinion, maybe a tighter crop would not make it seem like a luck shot that almost got away. Don't forget that this is only my opinion, because I am far from a pro.
Btw, good meeting you out there.

As odd as it sounds, I really like the "Playing around" shot. That shows more speed than the rest I think. I'm going to try that next time I go out.

you need to work on your framing and cropping. Not everything has to include the bike.

I dont really like the extremely tight cropping that basically shows the riders back and helmet. Some shots I do but, you really do not get the sense of racing in shots like that. It is easy to crop out the entire background and most of the bike to hide the inability to show speed and action.

Nice shots, I happen to like the full bike shots but I also really like shots like #3 where multiple bike are included . I would love to see any shots of the MV's if you have them (espicially the #50 since that is the bike I am in charge of).

Strick:
I really like shots with multiple bikes also. They do not seem to popular around these forums so I usually dont post them. Here is one for you to look at. I will be sure to come by and see you in Atlanta at the MV stop if you are going to be there. I think I got a deal worked out to be a personal Photog for Jamie Hacking so i will track side i hope for this go round. I take care of all the Netowrking and computer stuff for Jenny Hacking his mom, she is helping me out I hope.

Yeah I like that shot. To me that gives the feel of how close and hard these guys are racing. I will be at Atlanta, I am the lead mechanic/crew chief of Matt Lynn's bike.
