Great series Alex.

Think if I was forced to choose, I'd pick #3.

I'm amazed that butterfly could still fly. I'd have expected it to simply describe circles in the air.

Glad you like the series Eric :) Thanks for the advice too ;)... Take care

Nice shots Alex. The second-to-last one is a butterfly, and a very cool one at that. I would crop the distracting flower thing on the left side of the frame, though.

Thanks a lot Bill :) These were shot with my trusty 100-400 and some with 1.4xTC attached :) Unlike my macro lenses it really does offer excellent DOF while allowing lots of light... I think the the occasional trade off between level of sharpness and dimension makes it worth playing with from time to time.... I'm glad #4 hits you because I think it really demonstrates lack of immediate Bokeh sets a nice environmental touch to the shot, and helps draw you in past the surface.... Thanks again Bill... I appreciate the nice comment on these.... Take care....

Thanks brother Pete :) :) We also have a lot of buggered up butterflies here... There must be 10 to 15 different insect eating birds here... It is amazing to watch the air show when they are attempting and often succeeding in nailing them... Glad you liked these Pete... I appreciate the feedback..... Take care

Oooo 400D territory... A great camera... 10 mega pixels, with self cleaning sensor and an excellent focusing system with the newer DigicIII processor... A lot of bang for the buck, and hardly a compromise camera body.. I have a couple friends that bought them for back up cameras and like them so much they use them more than their primary bodies... I have been seeing reasonably new ones going for low 700 dollar range with grip, kit lens, and extra battery.... Good luck....:)
