doesn't canon cameras create a new folder each time you reach 100 images?

my 30D folder has been stuck at folder# 249 for the longest time. it store all my photos in there, whether i have 1 picture or 400+ pictures. i don't mind this at all, since all the pictures are in 1 folder - which make transferring it to my computer easier.

but i was just wondering is this a setting that i accidently changed on the 30D?

Not any more. They now go to 9999 files/folder. Personally I found the 100 files/folder more manageable.
