My first half decent photo.

I found an egg outside by the side of our deck.
So yeah, I took a picture of it.
I just recently bought my camera without having any experience in photography at all, so if this is bad, you know why.
Positive constructive crits would be a blast.

Canon digital Rebel XTi, Sigma 18-200mm.

Nice idea! Its pretty rare to find a perfect egg laid nicely on the ground. I like the texture from the ground and such. The photo needs help though, so first I would say to crop down from the top, for there is too much negative space. i would then try to make the egg, since it is the subject, pop out alittle more. Congrats on the camera and lens! You will have alot of fun with it.
