Challenge #85 - Junk

Junk - Discarded goods, rusted cars, anything cast off, unwanted or derelict. I think everybody could find something without too much trouble to fit the topic. It's fairly open to your own interpretation, have fun!

Sorry for the delay in announcing winners.

First: Mishnogram - This pipe detail really underlines the theme junk to me. Good use of depth of field to highlight the focal point.

Second: GoHokiesGo - A simple image that makes nice use of colour with the weeds on the left suggesting abandonment but not intruding.

Third: Blast - Quite a creative take on the theme.

Highly Commendeds to:
Abyss - Maybe just cropped in a little tight
Teekay - Great subject, lighting was unfortunately off to the side
ZoneOne - Really felt sorry for this unwanted pony, image a bit busy but great first post
Lou77 - Good shot but some funny angles going on, again a good first post

Other C & C:
Chantelle - a crop to reduce the foreground would highlight the wagon in the scene
Whuband - nice idea but there's a lot going on, maybe use less depth of field to blur the red truck
Dexdex - good image but distracted by the fountain, really had to struggle to see the bin
EddS - Another unusual one, not much to comment on, maybe another angle from down on the ground in front

NB: Please don't hang me for my opinions this is just the reasoning I applied to come up with the placings. Hope everybody had fun getting out and taking photos.

Wow, Thank-you Mick, I appreciate the third place, very grateful to even get mentioned. Thank-you.

Mishnogram, GoHokiesGo, great shots both of you very well done.

Everyone, I loved everyone's take on the theme lots of open-ended room for interpretation, "Ya'll" took some great shots.

Harry
