I was wondering what would be a good starting point for the f stops. I think I need the camera set to manual and bulb. And the iso at 100. I have a remote cable and tripod. Any help with any of these settings would be nice. New to night time shooting all together. Would like to try and take some pictures of some fireworks. Thanks for any help you may have.

Well, in that case, here's the manual instructions:

Go to the "talk about photography" forum on this web site. About 6 or 7 threads down is one called "tips for the 4th". There's a couple of good links there, including one to the New York institute of Photography.
