By the amount of posts on the forums from North Americans during business hours, it's no wonder companies complain they lose billions in productivity due to non work related net usage.

I'm not complaining... as I'm in Canada and it's 1:15pm so count me in. :)

Just wondering out loud.

Students... stay at home parents.... retired folk.... work at home folk (own bosses)

There are many reasons.

I'm a work at home folk, and I have a boss...

Most Americans are asleep during the first part of my day, so I have to do work until they start waking up.

I'm a web designer/developer so I'm allowed to surf and go onto all sorts of websites just to see what's out there and to see what technology is being used. And I love my Canon too.

Guilty! I hate my job. Nothing to do most of the time and then I get slammed with work.

Stay at home Mom here, but I'm sure I'd be posting from work too. Hey wait, this IS work.

Yeah, it is. My wife stays home with my three kids (2,4,6). The lowest paying, yet hardest job you will ever love (?). I tried staying one day with my kids and whoa, I will rather work 70 hours and commute 4 hours a day than do that again. My hats off to you and other stay at home moms!

We have a business at home. My only real job for the moment is to "hold the fort" and cook the meals. My desk is right by the front door. So, here I am!
