I'd like advise from those of you in the UK that have experience of Canons Cashback promotions.

I bought my 30D on 29 June and send in my application just before the closing date. The form promised I'd get an email within 15 days. It never happened.

This afternoon I spoke to the Canon Helpdesk who claim my application is not "on the system". I was too late to phone the promotions team direct and will do so tomorrow morning.

Is this normal or is it time to start foaming at the mouth?

I always believe in starting off friendly as its difficult to try friendly after nasty has failed. But believe me I'm perfectly happy to take Canon to the Small Claims Court over this if required.

Richard

Used them 3 times - Got cheque 3 times.

They are really busy with this popular EOS 20th anniversary - Maybe thats the reason?

I bought an EF 50mm f/1.4 and an EF-S 10-22mm earlier this year. No problems at all with the cashback. It took a few weeks, but I expected that.

I sent in a form for loads of stuff I bought. I got a cheque yesterday for the majority but they are convinced I sent in a duff barcode from my 5D box so £50 short. Apart from that, no problems. I think my form went in just days before the closing date too.

I sent two separate ones by registered post and got the money for both. Didn't actually get an email for the first but the money still appeared in my account about a month later.
