Lovely shots. :)
I tend to shoot -.66 Ev with my 350D for natural light shots and very rarely play with the colour during RAW conversion or in PP, mind you never been certain what the RAW converter does automatically :), but think your 3rd shot of the red admiral looks most natural

Great series and an interesting project Pete.

I go with you and everyone else, #3 looks the best and most natural.

Hiya Pete ,

Great series of shots, #4 is my favorite excellent colours on my monitor, as RM, says #3 has a blueish hue to it.

Cheers for now
Mark

Nice series Pete. Of the RA shots I prefer the 3rd - colours are quite rich - the second is too blue.

thanks everyone for your comments :D
thanks Alex
thanks Bill I've photographed 14 out of 33 Butterflies found in our area, way to go yet !
thanks RM
thanks macro junkie, I use smart sharpen (Photoshop) using the setting in the Scott Kelby Book (lens blur, raduis ,1 pixel and 75%)
thanks Brian I normally use -.33 Ev but will try -.66 as I do have to correct the colours sometimes
thanks Bernie it is interesting and it gets me out way from the telly !
Thanks Alby, I am getting into the Butterflies !
thanks Mark I think you and everyone else are right the third processing version is the nicest , for some reason this shot was quite tricky to get looking right, straight out of the camera the reds looked washed out.
