I'm going to drop off my 30D/70-200L for calibration and to have the broken wheel on my BG-E2 repaired. Do I need to bring the original packaging or just hand it to them "as-is"- ie., not boxed.

AAMOF, they won't even want the batteries or the CF card so you can just keep them at home. Make sure you have the body cap, though, since they're going to keep the body and the lens separated and check them in as two separate items. ...Leo

I'm having them do a calibration and cleaning, which is free, and a repair on my BG-E2 grip wheel (it's stripped). I was surprised that they are charging me to fix the grip wheel- I told the girl at the counter it broke due to poor workmanship and not my error. She did not want to agree, but told me I can dispute the charge. I was actually thinking they were going to charge me for the calibration/cleaning and fix the wheel as part of the warranty work. Oh well. The counter girl was very nice and helpful- not to mention hot as hell.
