What does Canon have to say about this??

Sony's new birding camera:

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 403 | MIME changed to 'text/html'

And will you look at the bokeh:
IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 403 | MIME changed to 'text/html'

Talk about false advertising!

P.S. At one time before I seriously got into photography and just bought a PnS, I too thought that a compact cameras could produce this kinda bokeh (thanks to the stupid press images). And no matter how hard I tried (super closeup, subject further from background, tele macro, etc) my PnS could never do any SLR kind of bokeh

"images are simulated" is the legal back out Sony's ad company will use to fool the customer.

people will always try to stop you doing the right thing if it is unconventional
Full frame and some primes.

I'm sure I did with my G3 a long time ago. Was set up for the bokeh though. Almost the same type of shot. Grape Hyacinth in the forground and some grass in the background. I was in macro mode with the flower a few inches from the front of the camera and the closest background object was five feet away. It's possible. But then they pretty much always say "image simulated" on these type of ads...ya know?
