Is rhere a prime lens for use on FF 5D (somewhere around 400mm) that has high IQ and sharpness, but below €1,000?
In other words a prime lens that will give better quality than zoom option, but not with huge price.
Recommendations and samples welcomed.

Canon 24-105 L IS USM,
Canon 400mm L f5.6
Canon 7D, Canon 1.4 TCII
Canon 10-22, Canon 420EX speedlite,

Olympus OMD EM5, 20-40 f2.8 PRO

A good zoom is just as good as a prime these days. Yes, really good primes have the edge, but I've always been happy with the 100-400 for zoos.

200 2.8 L (+ optional 1.4 extender) are below 1000 euros.
400 5.6 L is somewhat more expensive.
300 4 IS L even more expensive.
