hope this is the right forum for this. I just purchased the powerex MH-C9000 battery charger analyzer. I am confused as to how to set it in the modes that require a setting. My batteries are 2400 mAh AA they say the charge rate is 240mA for 15H (standard) the charger only has 200 or 300 mA settings(I think)which one do I use? What mAh setting do I use and what discharge rate?I use the auto to just charge but I would like to understand better and use the charger to its potential. Thanks in advance

Hello PRS,
I'm not an electrician but I think I should be able to answer your question. I've just checked your battery charger on the web (if I'm correct it should be: Maha PowerEx MH-C9000, correct?). Basically what they say on batteries itself is just some kind of general information which means if your charger's power (charge rate) is 240mA then it would take it 15 hours until batteries would be fully charged. Manual to your battery charger says that you're able to set the charging rate from 0.2 to 2 A (200mA to 2000mA) in some increment. The higher rate you'll set, the faster batteries will be charged. If you're in hurry, then set it to 2000 and your batteries should be ready in approximately 2 hours. It's really cool to have them charged in such a short time, but each and every good thing on this planet has some drawback. The faster batteries are charged, the hotter they get which is causing a loosing of their capacity. So if you're not in a hurry, you better use lower charging rates. If it takes 15 hours to fully charge while set on 240mA, then when you set it on 500mA it should take the half time around 7,5 hours and so on (but I would rather re-checked those times as I mentioned I'm not an electrician) just wanted to explain you those numbers.
