I did a senior photo session recently, and am working on the editing process. I would like to remove the hair from in front of her face and for the LIFE of me I can't seem to get it without messing up her face!

Would anyone mind giving it a shot, and then giving me a few pointers on how you did it? I am using the clone tool in PS, but the skin tones are so variable that I am leaving her skin looking striped/bruised/smudged/you name it, just plane yucky!

Thanks all,
Erin

This is my first time posting a photo, so I hope I did it right. :)

I'll give it a shot - you'll have to send me the full size photo though, would hate to do a lot of work on a photo, then have to re-do it on the original. I'll PM you my email address.

Actually you have it selected to not recieve private messages, so you'll have to fix that first.

If you post a crop of the area you want to fix, at 100% size, then it would be easier for folks to work on it.

I like to use the clone tool, then the blur tool to smooth the transition a bit.
WDYT?

Here's a closeup of the area - thanks everyone!

BTW, I realize that her eyes are a bit soft... maybe I'm just trying to "polish a turd"... (NOT in reference to my model - to my photograph!!!!!!) :)

Casp3r - that looks great, although its a little too much pp on the rest of her skin for me.... although I would be interested in how you did it??? Thanks so much!

ninoe - I'm stuck with PS 6 (yeah, its an antique, I know) - is the patch tool in the newer versions?

I just used the tutorial posted here
https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=171753

Yes I agree that there is too much PP on the skin but this was done quickly, but you can mess around with settings to get the look that's right for the photo.
