Well as the title says.

I have just joined this forum. And after looking around for a while. It strucked me as strange that there is no section, where new members like my self can introduce ourselves. Before we start posting.

Or have I missed it.

This place is as good as any as is the General chat forum. Anyway, welcome.

In my experience, sections for new members to say 'Hi' are largely ingnored by everyone except moderators and other new members. The best thing to do is just jump in and mix it up. You're off to a great start.

Welcome to the forum.

Oh dear.

It would seem that I have put keyboard in mouth so to speak. Must go to the general section and say hello. Before going and sitting in the corner:lol:

Just join in, that's the easiest way of introducing yourself.

I mean, if you wandered into a new bar would you sit at a table with a sign saying "new folks sit here", or would you go to the bar and order a drink?

What everybody else seems to have forgotten is that there is actually a member introductions thread (not everybody use it though and it is not mandatory to post the introduction there)

Not sure why it is not a sticky ( I thought it was before I searched for it ).

Nope. But I would also not go into a new bar/pub and start swinging:lol:

Don't worry about it pampers. There's not much formality here. Pitch in. Ask questions. Show us some of your pictures. Get involved with debates. Don't worry about being new - we all were once.

The best advice you'll ever get. We pride ourselves on being very friendly here, so get your feet wet. All of us were new once.
