Rumors are out on dpreview that Popular Science leaked a link page early for the new Nikon D300: DX format, 8fps, with 12.2MP CMOS &
Nikon D3x: FF format, with 12MP as well with a Nikon CMOS good to 12500ISO H2.

Just a rumor lets see if it's true, if so our beloved 40D could really be old news if the D300 trumps our old 1D mk2N. Hey 8fps if it's below $2000 is a bargain don't you think.

How usable could ISO12500 on a Nikon possibly be? And shouldn't it be ISO12800?

1600x2=3200
3200x2=6400
6400x2=12800

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

Yeah, another announcement designed to keep the Ni*on faithful from switching at Christmas - the camera will be in stock sometime by the end of 2008! :lol: (Can you say D70? I knew you could)

Have Fun,

It'll be a 1D III killer when the 1D IV is out.

You're so right, I can't do math, duh...

Well the deal is this is a CMOS (if you have seen the dpreview Sony news) So it might be as sharp as anything from the 20/30D at least we might assume. The current D200 is a CCD rather then a CMOS chip. This could be big.
