Thanks for viewing, and for the kind comments all. PP is the usual workflow (desat, D&B, etc) that I have been using, with a bit of experimental blending modes thrown in for good measure.

These photos are not staged.I think I have mastered the art of looking like a harmless dork with my camera, that way, my subjects largely ignore me and act naturally as I click the shutter. Ken, don't dump that markIII just yet! at least tell me which dumspter you will chuck it too so I can camp out there :) The original photo is not remarkable really, as most RAW files are. They definitely needed a bit of PP to pop out.

Forno, I see the resemblance in Tom Waits' album cover. I think my photographs sit on the fence delineating photographs and photoart, that's where I am drifting into, for better or worse.

Thanks for looking all, much appreciated.

Amazing again BB. What do you do for a living if you don't mind my asking so?

I am Henry. NOT Hank. And certainly not a length of rope tied in a knot. ;)
My family calls me Hen, but you can call me Chicken. See you out there!

You've definitely mastered a couple of skills then, looking like a dork and being a wizard with photoshop. :)

Thanks for the comments! AC, I used to go to remote areas exploring for minerals. Now I am a 'domestic engineer', lol, that is, I stay home, do the household duties and take care of my son. I am lucky enough to have a wife that allows me to take time off to pursue a lifelong dream project of mine. Ken, thanks for the compliment, I think :)

You are lucky. Thats pretty awesome. Not like my dad wasn't present while I was little, but he definitely was at work a lot. Your son is a lucky kid. And you are a lucky guy to be able to do what you love. :)

AC, thanks, I am indeed lucky to have a wife like mine. Our situation is a calculated move thats seems to be paying off. I hope :)

Thanks Lars, Etienne. A brief PP explanation has been discussed in my other threads, like here, just scroll down to message #9. I am working on a tutorial (yes I have begun) and will be posting it when it is finished, It is harder than I thought though!

Thanks for looking.

As usual, this is really interesting stuff...how to turn a couple of sodas into artwork.

I love it. here is a fine example what digital can do better. If you remember, this is what AGFA was trying to do with their hyper colors in some of their films. it still needed push-pull trial to get it right. but now you don't have to WASTE all that money and time and save frustration when not getting it right.

I like it because they are still "PHOTO"graphy. Yeah, I will be standing there with a measuring stick of "IS IT STILL A PHOTOGRAPHY?".

Good job.

Rick
