Hey folks!
Went for a little hike yesterday a long the "Jum Rum Creek" that runs through the jungle. Didn't find as many interesting insects as I was hoping for, but nonetheless thought I'd share the few I did get.
Spotted this large mayfly relaxing in the shade, I guess making the most of the 1 day it lives as an adult.

Spotted another one of these dragonflies hanging around the sandbank -- still the only species willing to pose for me.

And as I came to the end of the path, this beatiful male Birdwing butterfly decided to stop for a rest. These species of butterflies are the biggest in Australia, the female being the biggest -- although not as pretty as the males.

Wasn't the best day for insect hunting, but atleast the walk was really nice.

Thanks for looking!
Cheers,
