who use the Canon 100 macro after swapping my Sigma 150. Lost out a bit financially but canon has advantages for me in that it takes my ringflash and is a bit lighter. I lose a bit on working distance and bokeh but it is meant to AF a bit faster. IQ should be about the same. Anyway time will tell, meanwhile christening shot:

Yeah I did the same thing, swapped my Sigma 150 for a Canon 100. I've thought about going back, but I probably won't because the Canon is a great lens and is actually a little easier to use.

Looks plennnnty sharp to me RM... I'd say a great choice....

but what are you going to use the 60mm EF-S for ?

good question - it wont connect to the MK 3 and although lighter still really duplicates the 100mm so I guess it will be up for sale - kind of reluctant as its so damn sharp.

I am sure you wont regret getting the 100mm, even though I dont use mine as much as the 60mm, I would never sell it

I thought a little bit about switching the 100 macro for the 60 macro, because the 100 isn't much smaller than the 150 but the 60 is tiny! I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle the working distance if I'm shooting bugs though...

Like the rest on here, I don't think you'll regret getting the 100mm. I have found it to be an excellent lens which shows up my limitations wonderfully...

Well is it Pinky or Perky I think when I get a macro lens it will be the 100 too.

Sigma 70mm looks interesting. Had a bash outside today albeit propped up by walking stick with camera on monopod in other hand. Bit windy but once i'd adjusted lens for front focus (beauty of the MK3) got a few half decent shots in the wind. Ringflash

would have expected better eye detail on this but maybe not close enough or didnt nail focus

They are all very good, even though you might not be entirely happy with them yet. Im impressed with your studio shot.
