A couple from London Butterfly House

I have now started to plough through the pics I took in July on our visit to the London Butterfly House. They were actually more difficult to photograph than I imagined and it was so hot in there - thats an idea, think with this weather I need to go again lol

bit of a turkey shoot in there but good place to test gear. I found the yellow markings on the zebras quite hard to expose properly. Lighting a bit bright on some of those but I like #3 and # 4

nice series Linda. my pick is the third one. love the color. wish we had a butterfly house around here.

Lovely set Linda. Colors look over bright/saturated. Detail is great.

Thanks RM - yes, more difficult than I thought it would be, especially with such changes in lighting and the majority of them were pretty active. I so wanted to get lots of pics of the glasswings but they were the worst - hell of a job they were and didnt really get one I was satisfied with.

Thanks Brian - I didnt adjust the colour at all (I never do), just sometimes the brightness. Lighting was pretty difficult, from darker areas to the sun coming through the glass roof and so hot you couldnt really concentrate much in the end - the butterflies were pretty active as well. Much harder than I thought it would be, but reasonably happy with some of the pics and not a complete disaster lol.

Thanks Bill - shame you dont have one, they are certainly worth visiting, very hot and uncomfortable and far more of a challenge than I imagined.

I agree with others' comments on the over-brightness, particularly on shots 1 & 2, but I'm sure that pulling the levels back on the originals could help especially if you shot raw. Gotta love the last one myself.
