Bill I tend to preset magnification and move whole camera in and out to achieve focus. 100 on its own certainly can AF quite quickly for a macro but at 1:1 AF cannot be relied on to nail eyes. Toby

Brian V. yep makes sense and the 1.6 crop cameras are definitely more useful with this lens. Larger sensors really need MPE65. Toby
