I'm looking into getting one, I'm having a hard time choosing a good size or color. I've read that it's hard to handle squinting with a pure shiny gold or silver because it actually reflects TOO much light...so what is http://www.bhphotovideo.com …ZZ_42_Reflector_Soft.html (external link) like? it's a "soft gold" anyone have experience with that?

If anyone would like to go over some etiquette or things to remember when using a reflector, I'd love to hear it!

Thanks in advance!

- Ross

Hello Ross,

I'm not sure I understand why you posted this again. I replied to your first post here:

yes, I know! after I read the synopsis of each category, I realized that the reflector subject really wouldn't be covered with the flashes, so figured it would be categorized as an accessory, so I reposted it here to see if there were more responses, or more ideas on what I should go for!

Since you moved it, is the last one deleted? If it's not, I'll go do that now.

Thanks!

- Ross

wait...never mind! I'm sorry! I didn't realize that I had REPOSTED it in the same category! I actually meant to put it in the accessories Category! Thanks for moving it!

Moving it? It hasn't been moved. Both threads are in the same category and typically reflectors are considered a light source and it's perfectly appropriate to post to the Lighting forum.

Regardless of all that, did you see my reply? I drectly addressed your question.

yes, Robert, I saw your reply, and I appreciate your quick response, I'm definitely considering those reflectors, however, I thought that someone else out there might have another opinion or something else to keep in mind when choosing the right reflector for you or choosing different reflectors for different situations, and all that jazz.

Thanks for your help!

- Ross

P.S. - and I was reading that really, I figured all the 'ligting' was for was flash and strobes, and studio umbrellas, stuff like that - additions to the camera itself or lights to use in a studio - so I figured reflectors might actually fit better in the accessories category. Sorry for the confusion! I was reading WAY into it!!!! haha.
