At last the sun was out today :D Unfortunately I could only fit in a quick couple of shots very late afternoon, but the grasshoppers in our front garden were out in force - jumping for joy I think at seeing the sun lol.

interesting textures, the hoppers look kind of plant-like.

Nice shots, especially number 1. I like grasshoppers but they can be a nuisance when stalking butterflies. I don't see them, line up a shot, get down, and just as I'm in place, a slight movement spooks a grasshopper. It will ALWAYS spring towards the butterfly causing it to take flight while the grasshopper sits skulking down in the grass.
