Oh that would be fantastic :) I would love to pick one up but am not sure what to do. From a few of the other threads people have been saying that in another month or so Canon will be doing rebates? Hopefully for this lens also. Are the rebates substantial enough that it would be worth it for me to wait another month? And lastly, how and where will I have to go and look for the rebates at? Thanks! :P

:lol:This section of the forum will ERUPT when the rebates become available. Keep checking here for vendors that will honor them.

The lens the OP mentioned was @ $1499 with the last Canon rebate included:
$100 from the BH code and $100 from instant rebate.

I got it from Adorama through the Shop.com 10% back promo. $1579 - 10% = $1421. Also picked up a bunch of other stuff as well.

I did the exact same deal too...and got my credit! The only gripe I had with that deal is that I could only select 2-day shipping as my cheapest shipping rate of $40. Then It processed for 3 business days before it shipped. A weekend was in the mix so I received it in seven calander days.

That is ridiculous. How do I get in on something like that? lol I'm new to online lens shopping and usually just use BH. I'm assuming Adorama is another seller? and Shop.com 10%? How do those two sites work together? Sorry for the ignorance! I'm looking for help! :) When do you guys recommend I buy the 70-200? I can't really see myself spending $1700 on it now if I can save 200$ or so in another month!

The Fall rebates should be here in a few months so stay tuned here! One guy was buying 5Ds with the 10% off.

How/when in the checkout process do you enter codes? Went all the way to the last step of the checkout and couldn't find anything...
