Taken 9th June in the morning, side-lit; 30D with 70-200mm f4. The first 3 were of one bird and the last 2 were of the other one, who was closer to the road (all taken from the car).

Post-processing (levels, contrast, saturation; crop and resize for web; sharpening) was done in Elements 5 on an uncalibrated monitor.

Before this day, the following two photos had been the only ones I had managed to capture (mods can remove if it's too many photos).

Taken with the high-beam of a car, built-in flash, 30D with 70-200mm f4; on a pretty dark night..

Great shots, very good detail on the face and as Phil has said the whites have been captured well.
