showing movement in the night...

hi guys,

im not sure if there is already a thread on this but i wan't able to find it!
so if there is please say so...

i started playing with shooting moving traffic at night with long shutterspeed.
the location i shot from wasn't the best... just wanted to share..
by the way: the quality of the pic went down a lot coz the resizing....
if there are more of you guys out there who made some shots in this genre please share....

What kind of shutter time did you use on this?

I love long-exposure shots. Here's my best traffic shot.

good to see people adventuring into night shots...your shot looks a little overexposed for the lighting conditions, probably 10-15 sec for that would have been okay. Here is a sample of mine- 10sec @ f11 iso 100

That shot was actually taken in Edmonton, Canada.

@Bikerider: Pretty shot. The blue lights are really cool.

thanks Cyrus that shot of yours is very good too, you've done well in capturing a big landscape which I think is much harder than a tighter shot.

My share of night shots from atop a building. Shutter speed was around 20 seconds with an aperture of f/16 taken at around 7pm. Used a Canon 400D with a 17-40mm f/4L lens

I went through a phase where thats all I wanted to shoot.

This was shot at a local cemetery nearby (Manila Memorial Cemetery) at night. The moving objects here are the Clouds.
