I visited Mangawhai Head over the weekend, Here are a few of my shots:

I was ther about the same time last year.......I think I prefer last years photos :rolleyes:

hmm i saw your last years photos i think - didnt you post them on here a few months ago? i prefer those too: for me the light is too harsh in the first two and the shadows too heavy in the last. if i had to pick best of 3 id say number two for the angle and effect youve tried to acheive

I like this set. The one I'm really keen on is #3. The detail and shadows are just the right balance. Good job!

I like #2, but I would like to see the background either more blurred or in focus. In between doesn't work for me.

Thanks for your comments. The lighing was really harsh. It clouded over later that day so I went for another try, but had the oposite problem. It was bland, boring, flat light.

I'll try again next year ;)

2&3 look good. #1 would have looked better with some foreground item of interest like driftwood...

1 & 2 are nice but I really like #3. Not sure that I like the boat but overall a nice shot.
