I just had this printed in a 20 x 30 and must say that I'm happy with my 20D and will be for some time. The person that bought it is going to trim it and matte it. The final picture size will be 12 x 30.

Dont get what that has to do with a 40D...I think MP was the lowest on totem poll of upgrades everyone is excited about.

Yeah, what's it got to do with the 40D.
It's a photo of a flag !

I think what he's saying is, a 40D is not going to make this picture any better.

Exactly

If I was thinking of upgrading (and I did have the thought), I just proved to myself that I don't need to spend the money. With the biggest percentage of my shots, if not all, using the 40D will not give me anything that I can't accomplish with the 20D.

adding 40D in your title is "the" way to get attention ... :-(

a 5d with the live view... mmm...

live view seems like such a waste at first.. but im a one-eye squinter.. and doing that all day gives me a headache. If liveview could solve that, plus make macro shots easier.. than so be it.

I need the 40d, my 20d shutter is getting up their. But the thing is my car has a problem going up hills. $1300 is a great deal, a screen better than 1.8? Holy cow!, 6.5 fps!, sensore cleaner!, Bigger eye viewer!..lmao...Yikes, I've been waiting a long time....But now the Mark III is looking nicer too!.

I agree to some point. What happens when you have technology that is 5+ years old hence the 300D? Buy $1200 worth of good glass or get better technology in a camera?
