I'm enjoying the composition of the last one. I like that the subjects are on the right with lots of room in the frame for them to walk into. I also like that you show lots of context. Well done in my book!

I like the last one best as well.

The surprise in #2 is that you could find a place anywhere in any city in Italy where there was only one cigarette butt in the picture.

Roger, you know I am really digging these photos, man. There's something about shooting in the rain that produces great photos. Soft light, glistening pavement that echoes back reversed images, colorful umbrellas, people in a rush.... I love them. I like your compositions too. Thanks for sharing.

BLS thanks these people just walked around the corner and snap, I was waiting for such a composition, the white shoes were a bonus lol...SWP yes I found that very amusing too, everybody smokes in Italy......BB I couldn't agree more, people behave differently in the rain....it has the tendency to bring out vulnerability in some way and as you say the light also is different. I found your recent rain pics inspiring when shooting these. Jay thanks, I like this image as it raises questions for me, like what are the two people talking about and is the man with the green umbrella connected to her....then there's the man walking quickly past with his bag of cakes lol love it. thekid24 glad you got the mood :)......mkuriger heh heh no butts cloned out but a couple of stray bits of rubbish were, glad you like them too....thanks Tony ;)

I love em too. I like to make the more gloomy things the pretty things rather than the "pretty" things the pretty things. If ya know what I mean. Really like no. 1 and 5. But a question. Whats up with the lighting in number 1?

AlphaChicken I 'draganised' the image to give a more grungy feel, it's another one of those photoshop actions :).
